The blurb:
A Passionate Love Affair with a Total Stranger by Lucy Robinson, author of The Greatest Love Story of All Time, is a hilariously funny and gorgeously romantic story about falling in love when you least expect it. Charley Lambert has put considerable effort into achieving a perfect life. She has The Job. The Wardrobe. And The Flat. Her womanising, junk food-loving housemate Sam lowers the tone a bit but that aside, things are peachy. Then she breaks her leg in three places, watches her unrequited love propose to someone else and - worst of all - is forced to hand over her job to her nasty deputy while she recovers. Workaholic Charley fears that she will soon go mad. Desperate for something to do, she discovers her talent for helping the lovelorn online. And then William arrives in her inbox. Within hours of his first email, her world starts to change. Helpless, she watches herself fall in love with this man and begins to realise that she's not who she thought she was. But will she be brave enough to turn her back on her old life - all for a total stranger?

My Opinion:

I absolutely loved Lucy’s debut novel The Greatest Love Story of all Time and I couldn’t wait to read this one. I loved it from the start!!!

Charley Lambert is our charming and funny heroine in this one. She is very committed to her work and she also has a site called First Aid Love, where she ghostwrites for other women. Such a funny idea, I loved it!
For years she wanted to be with her boss John MacAllister. Well, let’s say they have a “passionate” past, a complicated present and an unsure future. It was great reading about them, the emails they exchanged and they way they were with each other. I didn’t quite get John though and that made him mysterious and secretive. I was curious where their “relationship” was going to lead.

Then there is Sam, Charley’s awesome flatmate. I quite liked him from the start, he was funny, a great friend and much more… Their friendship was something special from the start.

Charley also had a deep connection to her family, which I really adored.

Now, let’s get back to the ghostwriting: Shelley, one of Charley’s clients wants her to email William, a gorgeous doctor and Charley starts writing him. She sees herself falling for him. All she wants is to get to know William better and get him for herself. She even follows them on their first date…

Then, the big surprise: William has paid a ghostwriter as well and Charley knows him really well… not telling you more here ;) I kind of felt it from the start though.
She is convinced though that she’s not in love with that guy.
When he finds out himself, they get together and try to please William and Shelley.

It takes Charley quite a while to realise her real feelings, because there is still John (his story is revealed as well) and there is NO way he loves her back.

I loved reading about her emotions and feelings. The scenes between her and HIM were brilliantly written and full of fun. I couldn’t put the book down, because I just wanted to find out how it ends! The ending is truly adorable and cute.
Love can be really difficult sometimes and it takes time to find out who is the one for you.

An amazing story, so gripping, catchy, fun and much more!!! Go read it now, Lucy is such a talented writer.
