The blurb:

Ivo fell for her.
He fell for a girl he can’t get back.
Now he’s hoping for something.
While he waits he plays a game:
He chooses a body part and tells us its link to the past he threw away.
He tells us the story of how she found him, and how he lost her.
But he doesn't have long.
And he still has one thing left to do ...

My Opinion:

*Book provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review*

The A-Z of You and Me follows Ivo, a 40 year old man, who is in a hospice. He’s dying, to keep his mind occupied his nurse Sheila suggests to play the A-Z game. He hast o find a body part for each letter and also think of memories connected to that letter.

I have to say, this got me gripped immediately. Such a unique and indcredible idea, a very fresh approach to a touching topic and written in a beautiful way.

The ABC of body parts takes us through his life. We find out a lot about his past, his relationships, his family and friends. It all flowed beautifully and I loved getting these little snippets out of his life, it made some of his thoughts clearer. I was just hoping for him to get the peace he was longing for.

It’s a very emotional book with a delicate theme, but I was surprised about zhe positivity and the freshness of the story. A wonderful flow, a plot full of surprises, laugter and emotional scenes.

I have to say a learned a lot of new words with this book, words I didn’t even know existed.

The A-Z of You and Me s a remarkable, moving and captivating book. It takes you through all the emotions, just magnificent!
