The blurb:
Step inside a
beautiful winter wonderland where love, laughter and cosy nights by the fire will
make this Christmas one to remember.
Neve Whitaker loves managing the Stardust Lake
hotel. She gets to work alongside her wonderful family and she’s spending
Christmas on the most enchanting, snow-covered island in Scotland. So why is
her heart so heavy this festive season?
It might have
something to do with the gorgeous actor Oakley Rey, the man she
finished with before he left for California and the man she loves more than
anything. With Oakley’s career in Hollywood soaring, Neve is convinced she’d
only hold him back. She had to end it with him – at least that’s what she keeps
telling herself.
But now she has
a secret she’s struggling to keep, and when Oakley arrives on Juniper Island
determined to win her back, Neve is thrown off balance. Will Neve’s fear of
having her heart broken again push Oakley away for good, or is it time for her
to take a leap of faith?
Get swept away by
this deliciously sweet and heartwarming tale, and spend an unforgettable
Christmas on Juniper Island.
My Opinion:
*Book provided by the publisher on

Yay,
book two set on Juniper Island is here!!! I adored book one, here is my review:
http://simonascornerofdreams.blogspot.ch/search?q=cranberry+sky&x=0&y=0
This
story is centred around Gabe’s sister Neve. She is the manager of the hotel and
recently broke up with her boyfriend movie star Oakley Rey. Neve is surrounded
by her family and gets to work at an amazing location, but she has a secret. And
then Oakley shows up, the secret is revealed and the drama starts.
It’s
obvious that they love each other, but they have a lot of unresolved issues and
Neve’s secret adds some misunderstandings. Then there is the fact that he is a
movie star and works all over the world, how can they ever be together?!
Even
though they are going through a lot and don’t seem to trust each other, they
are there for each other. Neve makes everything worse with a little lie, but
Oakley is still there to care for her. The go through a lot in this book, it
really is an emotional roller-coaster ride. I adored there intensive and
passionate moments, Holly’s writing captured it all beautifully.
The
book also tells the story of other characters like Adam (another hotel manager)
or Luke (Neve’s other brother). I really enjoyed these different stories and
how it all became one in a very wonderful way. Of course it was also lovely to
read about Gabe, Pip and Wren again. They are a big and sweet family surrounded
by magic, snow and Christmas. The characters are filled with warmth, love,
passion and personality. Holly’s writing is gripping and full of ups and downs.
She always manages to create a unique atmosphere around the characters and a
wonderful setting with everything a girl dreams of.
I
really hope we get to re-visit this beautiful island in the summer, I don’t
want to say goodbye to the characters and the location yet!
