The blurb:
Kiss Me, Kate is the sixth of six
books about the Philadelphia-based, wildly-handsome English brothers (and one
lovely cousin!) who are all on the look-out for love.
Kate English, cousin to the
beguiling English Brothers, has relocated to Philadelphia and now works with
her cousins at English & Company. The problem with moving to Philly? It was
where Kate met her first love, Etienne Rousseau. Since the move, Kate can’t
seem shake the painful memories of a romance that broke her heart.
Etienne Rousseau, neighbor and
arch-enemy of the English family, is recently single and has every intention of
enjoying his newly-minted bachelor-status. That is…until his brother inks a
deal with English & Company, forcing Etienne to work with his one-time
lover, Kate English. Though he wants to hate the girl who once destroyed his
life, he can't deny the fierce attraction or hide the deep tenderness he still
feels for Kate.
With vibrant flashbacks of their
passionate, teenage love affair making it impossible to ignore their unresolved
history, Kate and Etienne will commit to unraveling the secrets of their
heartbreaking past to make way for a breathtaking future.

Back in this wonderful
world of the English family, yay!!!
Well, now that all the five
English brothers have found their soulmate it’s time for their cousin Kate. We
got introduced to her in the last book and already got a glimpse on what it could
be about.
Kate has moved back to
Philly from New York and has started working for English & Company. Going
back also confronts her with her past or certain people from the past,
especially Etienne Rousseau, her first love. When she hears that he was in an
accident, she is worried and starts stalking him on his sister’s Facebook
account. And it gets better. English & Company collaborates with Etienne’s
family’s company and the have to work together. The tension is there from the
start, the can’t really think strait in each other’s company, but so much has
happened, they don’t really trust each other anymore.
Kate’s cousins are really
protective of her and they don’t like Etienne, so they try to keep her away
from him.
When Etienne and Kate start
working together, all the memories come flushing back. I loved how these
memories were included in the story, like a chapter with a flashback and then
back to the present. I adored reading about their love story, how they got to
know each other, how everything developed and how they wanted to fight for
their future. Of course, there was already a lot of drama involved back then
and it seems that both their families were not honest with them.
When they have to go to New
Orleans for business they start talking about everything and they finally find
out what really happened. This opens a new door and they are willing to fight
for what they feel. Etienne comes across like a heart-breaker and bad boy, but
when it comes to Kate he is tender and sweet and you can feel his love and
attraction for her immediately. They had a lot of passion and chemistry, which
was a pleasure to read about.
One thing I always like in
Katy’s stories, is that the perspective changes and we get insight to both
their emotions. It made me see Etienne from a different light and it is a great
mixture of different viewpoints.
This story has lots of
magical and romantic moments, it’s also a bit of a modern Romeo and Juliet
tale, just with more details and passion.
It was great to read about
all the English brother’s again, because I loved every single one of their
stories.
The ending was full of
power, sweetness and love; I had a huge smile on my face. So thank you Katy,
you did it once again!!!
A touching, emotional and
passionate story of two soulmates, finding a way to be together.
Rating:
My possible cast:
