Kiss Me Kate – by Katy Regnery

Original Cover
My own copy

The blurb:

Kiss Me, Kate is the sixth of six books about the Philadelphia-based, wildly-handsome English brothers (and one lovely cousin!) who are all on the look-out for love.

Kate English, cousin to the beguiling English Brothers, has relocated to Philadelphia and now works with her cousins at English & Company. The problem with moving to Philly? It was where Kate met her first love, Etienne Rousseau. Since the move, Kate can’t seem shake the painful memories of a romance that broke her heart.

Etienne Rousseau, neighbor and arch-enemy of the English family, is recently single and has every intention of enjoying his newly-minted bachelor-status. That is…until his brother inks a deal with English & Company, forcing Etienne to work with his one-time lover, Kate English. Though he wants to hate the girl who once destroyed his life, he can't deny the fierce attraction or hide the deep tenderness he still feels for Kate.

With vibrant flashbacks of their passionate, teenage love affair making it impossible to ignore their unresolved history, Kate and Etienne will commit to unraveling the secrets of their heartbreaking past to make way for a breathtaking future.

Back in this wonderful world of the English family, yay!!!
Well, now that all the five English brothers have found their soulmate it’s time for their cousin Kate. We got introduced to her in the last book and already got a glimpse on what it could be about.

Kate has moved back to Philly from New York and has started working for English & Company. Going back also confronts her with her past or certain people from the past, especially Etienne Rousseau, her first love. When she hears that he was in an accident, she is worried and starts stalking him on his sister’s Facebook account. And it gets better. English & Company collaborates with Etienne’s family’s company and the have to work together. The tension is there from the start, the can’t really think strait in each other’s company, but so much has happened, they don’t really trust each other anymore.

Kate’s cousins are really protective of her and they don’t like Etienne, so they try to keep her away from him.
When Etienne and Kate start working together, all the memories come flushing back. I loved how these memories were included in the story, like a chapter with a flashback and then back to the present. I adored reading about their love story, how they got to know each other, how everything developed and how they wanted to fight for their future. Of course, there was already a lot of drama involved back then and it seems that both their families were not honest with them.

When they have to go to New Orleans for business they start talking about everything and they finally find out what really happened. This opens a new door and they are willing to fight for what they feel. Etienne comes across like a heart-breaker and bad boy, but when it comes to Kate he is tender and sweet and you can feel his love and attraction for her immediately. They had a lot of passion and chemistry, which was a pleasure to read about.

One thing I always like in Katy’s stories, is that the perspective changes and we get insight to both their emotions. It made me see Etienne from a different light and it is a great mixture of different viewpoints.

This story has lots of magical and romantic moments, it’s also a bit of a modern Romeo and Juliet tale, just with more details and passion.
It was great to read about all the English brother’s again, because I loved every single one of their stories.

The ending was full of power, sweetness and love; I had a huge smile on my face. So thank you Katy, you did it once again!!!

A touching, emotional and passionate story of two soulmates, finding a way to be together.

Seduced by Stratton - by Katy Regnery

Original Cover
My own copy

The blurb:

"Seduced by Stratton" is the fourth of six books about the Philadelphia-based, wildly-handsome English brothers who are all on the look-out for love.

Stratton English, the hottest, youngest, most devastatingly handsome CFO in Philadelphia, has a problem: women make him nervous. Really nervous. Catastrophically nervous. Socially awkward to an extreme, he’s apt to blurt out the first thing that comes to mind, and it’s rarely something a woman wants to hear. Quietly in love with his neighbor, Amy, he has no idea how to make his move, but he is committed to figuring out a way to seduce her.

Valeria Campanile, who Stratton knows through one of his four brothers, is a PhD candidate who moonlights as a dance instructor on the side. Ironically, even though Val studies Courtship Rituals, she can’t seem to find herself courted. Pursued by boys from the “old neighborhood” who promise to overlook the fact that she’s so smart, she longs to meet someone who romances her mind as well as her heart.

When Stratton helps Valeria with a financial problem, she is anxious to return the favor. But will Stratton, who needs Val’s expertise to win Amy, find himself seducing Val instead?

My opinion:

*Book provided by the author in exchange for an honest review*

Yay! The English Brothers are back!!! After having read Barrett’s, Fitz’s and Alex’s story I was really excited for the next book in this series, plus Katy is one of my fave authors, so…

Stratton English is gorgeous, successful and I loved getting to know him. One thing I really liked was his awkward charm. He doesn’t have much experience with women and he doesn’t know how to seduce them. That’s what made him really sweet and let’s be honest he still knew…
Stratton thinks he’s in love with his neighbour Amy, they spend a lot of time together, watch movies and she even sleeps over. When Stratton finds out that she is dating Etienne, he only wants to get her away from this guy… He knows Etienne from the past…

Val is Emily’s roommate and we have already met her when the girls went out for girl’s night. Barrett, Fitz and also Stratton joined them and that’s where they met first… Already then I thought that they had a connection.

It was great reading about how their relationship developed. The chemistry and tension was unbearable at times, but Stratton still had Amy in mind. It was obvious to the reader though that they were both falling for each other. They change between their perspectives was great and gave a real insight.

Val and Stratton have a lot in common and I loved it when they were talking about the love letters. Of course they thing about Amy had to come out and then Stratton had to fight for Val. The things he did made me love him even more.

This is an amazing love story full of emotions, heart and a real connection.
I also enjoyed reading about the other brothers and their ladies again. They are a great bunch of people, all of them special in their on way and now I’m really wild about Weston!!! Can’t wait J

Book Description:

Breaking Up with Barrett is the first of five books about the Philadelphia-based, wildly-handsome English brothers who are all on the look-out for love.

(Except Alex. He's a womanizing manwhore. And maybe Stratton, because he's wicked hot, but super awkward around girls.)

Barrett English, aka "the Shark," is the fair-haired, first-born of the English brothers, and the CEO of the oldest, most prestigious investment banking firm in Philadelphia. He rules the boardroom with an iron fist, refusing to take no for an answer and always getting his way.

Emily Edwards, a first-year doctoral student at the University of Pennsylvania, grew up in the gatehouse on the outskirts of Barrett's childhood estate. The daughter of his family's gardener and housekeeper, she was always looking through the window of privilege, but forced to remember her place at the very periphery of the kingdom.

When business partners suggest that a fiancee might soften Barrett's image over business dinners, he approaches Emily for the "job" of fiancee. And while love wasn't necessarily on Barrett's radar, he begins to realize that Emily always has been. But will his take-no-prisoners boardroom tactics work on the heart of the woman he loves?

*Book provided by the publisher in exchange for honest review*

Yay, another Katy Regnery book J And another series, I was really excited for it, and now I’ve finally come round to reading book #1.

This book is telling Emily’s and Barrett’s story. They have known each other forever. Little 8-year-old Barrett held baby Emily in his arms. Her parents are the gardener and the housekeeper at the English house. Barrett is the oldest of five and now the CEO of the family business. He’s rich, successful, touch and comes across arrogant at times, but it turns out that there is more beneath it.

And Emily is a doctoral student at Uni, living with her best friend Val. The two girls have difficulties paying their rent, especially ever since the landlord has increased it. To come up with the money Emily agrees to play Barrett’s fiancée at official dinners and events.

However she doesn’t feel comfortable, since her feelings for him are growing and growing. She decides to break up with him, but then their lust and passion for each other overcomes them.

She agrees to play his fiancée again for a weekend. Nothing intimate can happen between them…

Emily is sweet, honest, but also strong and independent. This weekend gets very very interesting. Barrett and Emily are finally totally honest to each other and the truth comes out.

This story is wonderfully romantic and telling us a story about love that developed early on. I admired their honesty and trust towards each other and I have to say: There were some pretty sexy scenes ;)

Our queen of romance did it again! Can’t wait for the next story in this series.

Book Description:

Falling for Fitz is the second of five books about the Philadelphia-based, wildly-handsome English brothers who are absolutely not on the look-out for love.

(Except Barrett, who fell in love when he was eight-years-old. And Fitz, who met the girl of his dreams at nineteen. And maybe even Weston, who just doesn't know it yet.)

Fitz English and Daisy Edwards fell in love during one magical summer when they were teenagers. When something tragic happens at the end of the summer, Daisy tells Fitz she never wants to see him again. Despite his feelings for her, he respects her wishes and for almost a decade Fitz and Daisy go their separate ways.

Nine years later, when Daisy moves home to Philadelphia, they meet again, and both are shocked to discover that the feelings they had that summer are just as deep and real today. There's a little snag, however. It seems that Daisy is engaged to someone else, and she's come home to get married.

Can Fitz get Daisy to fall for him all over again before it's too late? Only if Daisy can learn to trust the man who shattered her heart once upon a time.

My opinion:

*Book provided by the publisher in exchange for honest review*

Right after finishing Breaking up with Barrett, the first book of The English Brothers series, I stared with number 2.

I fell in love with this book after the first few words! Daisy and Fitz, the two main characters are just great, full of strive, passion and determination. The were wonderful characters for themselves, but when they were together they were inseparable, unbeatable and just perfect, that’s what I call soulmates.

After all what happened nine years ago, they don’t really know how to act around each other. Daisy finally decided to come back home to her father, aunt and uncle and her cousin Emily. Emily was the main character in the first book and it was great to have her back and get even more inside to hers and Barrett’s relationship. I really suggest you read this books in the right order, to avoid spoilers and also understand all the insiders.

Well, both of them seem to be fighting their feelings for each other, but the passion and lust just overtakes them. When something similar to 9 years ago happens, Daisy runs away, but Fitz was just awesome at the moment, I was falling for him myself <3. So he’s clearly made my book boyfriend list ;).
I have to say it was a pleasure to read about these two, made for each other in so many ways, there was so much chemistry and attraction there.

A romantic and sexy story, told from the male and the female’s point of view. I couldn’t put it down and I’m even more curious about the other three brothers now, next up is Alex.

Anyone but Alex
The English Brothers
Book 3
Katy Regnery

Genre: Short contemporary romance

Date of Publication: TBD

ISBN: 978-0-9912045-5-7
ASIN:

Number of pages: 210
Word Count: 55,000

Cover Artist: Kim Killion, Hot Damn Designs

Book Description:

Anyone but Alex is the third of five books about the Philadelphia-based, wildly-handsome English brothers who are all on the look-out for love.

(Sort of. Barrett and Fitz are officially off the market, Alex has sampled every piece of available ass from Rittenhouse Square to the Liberty Bell, Stratton can’t see to see what’s right in front of him, and don't even get me started on the youngest English brother, Weston...)

Alex English, the well-known man whore of the country club set, has always preferred to play the field, eschewing a chance with Miss Right for a satisfying quickie with Miss Right-Now. But after seeing his two older brothers take the plunge, something has been aching inside of Alex, and no amount of casual sex is filling the void in his heart.

Jessica Winslow, whose older brothers are best friends with the English brothers, has returned home from a fifteen-year stay in England, only to find herself face-to-face with her childhood crush, Alex English, on her first night home. She’s heard all the rumors, but Jessie remembers the older boy who was so kind to her as a child, and can’t help reaching out to Alex in friendship.

Between disapproving brothers, scheming exes, and the biggest business deal of English & Sons’ illustrious history, Alex and Jessie’s budding romance is going to be put to the test. The question is…will it be strong enough to be their happily-ever-after?

My opinion:

*Book provided by the publisher in exchange for honest review*

Yay, another book in the English Brothers series and it’s as awesome as the other two.
This time it’s all about Alex, Mister Macho and One-Night-Stand in the family, can he ever fall in love and settle down?

Something changes inside him, his older brothers Barrett and Fitz are both engaged and then Jessie Winslow is back in town. He always had a thing for her and it seems so does she.
The two of the get closer pretty quickly and start a thing. To everybody’s surprise Alex is taking this relationship very seriously and not dating other women. His brothers cannot believe that. I however, like seeing this side of him and it was so obvious that they were falling for each other more and more…
They had feelings for each other long before, so it doesn’t take long until the L-word falls, but what does that mean for them?

She is only in Philly for some weeks and then she returns to England. Is their love strong enough to survive and where will they live. A lot of stuff to figure out for them, which I really like and the solution in the end is pretty clever, well done Katy.

Jessie’s brothers are very protective of their little sister, that was so cute. I was a bit scared for Alex sometimes ;) That added the right spice into this wonderful story.

One thing I love in Katy’s novels, is that both character get to tell their story and we get insights to both of them, it makes the storyline more complete and it’s just so emotional and real.
Of course, our queen of romance also created some sexy, passionate and flirty scenes, always great to read and very authentic.

I loved hearing about Barrett and Emily and Fitz and Daisy again, so developments happened and that was just awesome to read about, find out for yourselves. The interaction of the five brothers and all the other characters is amazing and that’s what makes this series so special and unique. The books are perfectly combined and it seems like one real, authentic and vivid story. I like the angle and little intro to Stratton’s story, can’t wait!!!

About the Author:

Katy Regnery, Amazon bestselling author, has always loved telling a good story and credits
her mother with making funny, heartwarming tales come alive throughout her childhood. A lifelong devotee of all romance writing, from Edwardian to present-day, it was just a matter of time before Katy tried her hand at writing a love story of her own.

As it turned out, one love story turned into a series of six Heart of Montana romances, following the love lives of the Yellowstone-based Lindstrom siblings. When Katy’s fans asked her to turn up the heat, she wrote the New Adult/Adult Contemporary hybrid romance, Playing for Love at Deep Haven, which offered steamier romance to her readers. Katy is also proud to offer The Vixen and the Vet, a standalone romance that benefitted Operation Mend, an organization that helps heal the returning wounded of our armed services. The English Brothers is Katy’s second series and first indie series.

Katy lives in the relative wilds of northern Fairfield County, Connecticut, where her writing room looks out at the woods, and her husband, two young children, and two dogs create just enough cheerful chaos to remind her that the very best love stories of all are the messy and unexpected ones.
