Most of you
have probably read my posts on my America adventure, part of this cities
adventure was Dallas. Now, I had a lot of people asking „Why are you going to
Dallas?“ Two answers: Dallas Stars and more importantly: My second momma
Wendy/Aven.
I met Wendy
online around January 2014 I think, when I won her first book Connectivity in a giveaway. She sent me
the book and I read it within 24 hours. I loved it so much. After that we
started talking regularly and exchange emails as well. She published her second
book Waiting For Prince Harry and we
discovered our mutual love for hockey. Well, we grew very close, very quickly.
The emails became more personal and we developed a very deep friendship.
I’m able to
tell Wendy everything and she is always there for me. We have the same
interests and it’s just a lot of fun all the time. After a while she asked me to
be one of her Beta Readers, which is fab. I love her books and her writing so
much.
Wendy is
one of those people, who are really close to me, close than friends that I see regularly
in Switzerland.
We also
started talking on What’s App and the daily exchanges with her are just fab. We
are so similar and I just love how she is always there for me, also when I’m
going through something difficult.
So, last
year I decided to visit her in 2016. I decided to add two other cities to my
trip as well, so last December I booked it all: New York – Dallas – Chicago.
I arrived
in Dallas after seven days in New York and there she was at the airport picking
me up! I was so excited!!!! We hugged and started talking immediately. It was
like meeting an old friend.
We had so much
fun together, talking and enjoying hockey, shopping and so much more. We literally
had some „Like mother – like daughter moments“ and I’m just so happy, that I
have finally met Wendy in person. It was amazing and we had so much to talk
about. I loved seeing her lifestyle, seeing where she lives, getting to know
her family and more.
Meeting her
in person, spending time with her just showed me even more, what an amazing
friend she is and I definitely plan on going back to Dallas and seeing her
again.
I’m so
grateful for my time in Dallas with her. Thanks Wendy for EVERYTHING!!! LOVE
YOU AND MISS YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!
