Librarian Callie Barnes has visions of reading
and relaxing--and maybe having a few too many drinks--on her girls' weekend
away. Her hopes are crushed when her friends pull into a dude ranch instead of
a spa, and she refuses to say longer than one night. That is...until she
realizes the ranch is owned by sinfully sexy, and dangerously rugged, Wes
Braden--the subject of her late-night fantasies.
Fearless rancher Wes Braden thinks he's the
luckiest guy on the planet when the sweet, sexy librarian from his hometown
shows up at his ranch. Their connection is white-hot, making it impossible for
either to ignore their carnal desires. Wes is more than willing to convert
sweet Callie from chick lit to a world of erotic romance, but Callie ties sex
to love, and Wes avoids commitment like the plague.
Callie is thrust into physically demanding
activities that ignite her deepest fears. Luckily, Wes is as tender as he is
strong, and he's there every step of the way to help her find her inner
strength. With Callie's influence, Wes might even discover that he's been
nursing a few fears of his own. Passion pulls Callie and Wes from their safe,
comfortable lives into each other's arms, and they're about to find out just
how alike they really are.
My Opinion:
*Book

This is my second book by
Melissa Forster and of course the Braden series. I read Luke and Daisy’s story
before and I loved it.
Now it was time for Wes
Braden, Luke’s older brother. I loved him ;) He’s fearless, strong, protective,
sweet, caring and very understanding, oh and did I mention very hot?! Well,
definitely book boyfriend material ;)
Then there was Callie, sweet
librarian Callie. I instantly clicked with her. She loves books and reading and
would love to live in the books… So I found ways to relate to her very easily.
Every Thursday she had to get three books ready for non other than Wes Braden,
her secret crush ;). Well, I can’t blame her…
One thing I thought was a
little disappointing, was that she was just living in her world, without
wanting a big social interaction, with others, especially men. The good thing
about that: her three best friends, who whisked her away for a ranch weekend,
pretending it would be a spa weekend, very clever. Oh well, and who owns the
ranch?!
Well, I think you have
guessed, yes it’s Braden.
Their chemistry and passion
was pretty obvious from then on and they couldn’t keep their hands off each
other, developing deep feelings for the other person very fast, but it was
always kept very real, which I liked. It helped to read about both
perspectives, to get an honest and authentic inside to their love story.
Callie had to face a lot of
fears on this ranch, but she did overcome them, also with a little help from
Wes, he was so tender and caring, oh my…
I can assure you that there
are plenty of passionate and sweet scenes, like a love story has to be in my
eyes, of course with a little drama as well and his family was included too, I
loved reading about Daisy and Luke again.
And Callie’s friends?!
Well, the friends, one could wish for and they were so funny as well… There
were so many hilarious scenes, a great change to the passionate storyline, but
always together as one and not separate.
