Why I Write Blog Hop

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I have been tagged by Sophie Kate from http://23reviewstreet.blogspot.co.uk and by Holly from http://bookaholicconfessions.wordpress.com Thank you so much for this tag ladies, I’m honored and I love your blogs as well.

Why I Write Blog Hop is where you answer four questions about why you write and about blogging, and then tag two other blogs that you love to take part and continue the hop next Monday.

Why do I write?

After reading all Paige Toon books last summer I decided to start blogging. I wanted to share my thoughts with other book lovers and discuss books with them. My blog has grown a lot since then, I just had my 1st blogoversrary. I enjoy posting reviews with my dream cast and also reading other reviews. In addition tot hat I have a lot of different features like Author Q&As, guest posts, a quotes feature, my books oft he month, a Fashion Corner and much more. I like writing about different things, which are part of my life. The book blogging community is great and I’m so happy to be part o fit.

What am I working on?
I just finished writing my review for Everything Changes But You by Jennifer Joyce. I will be part of her blog tour and will post my thought October 2nd. I’m preparing a series of guest posts at the moment with the title „Books You’d Like To Live In“, some lovely book blogger friends have agreed to be part o fit and it’s really interesting with what the get back to me.

How does it differ from others of its genre?
I think to most obvious difference is that I add my dream cast after the review. I see that occasionally in some blogs, but not as a regular feature. I also think that my blog is different, because I offer other things than book reviews as well. I cover topics like, music, traveling, lifestyle, fashion and more, so it’s a mixture of everything.

How does my writing process work?
As soon as I finish a book I start writing my review and I also add the dream cast right away. During reading I mark features of the characters, which makes it easier for me to find the right fit. I always need to write the reviews right away, because the thoughts on the book are still fresh and I think the reviews are more honest and authentic than after some days. As form y other posts it’s mostly just when I feel inspired I write. When I feel like I’m stuck I stop and get back to it another day.

The first person I am tagging is Mary from M's Bookshelf, I love her blog so much, it’s colourful, happy and I love her posts. She comes up with great ideas, features and she has become an amazing friend over this past year, love you hun.

The second person I am tagging is Alba from Lost in ChickLit.  I love her reviews and her blog is so beautiful. We like the same kind of books and it’s always fun discussing with her and seeing what she thinks. On top oft hat she has become an amazing friend.

Wild Temptation - by Emma Hart

My own copy
Original Copy

The blurb:

In this sexy new CALL series spin-off series by New York Times bestseller Emma Hart, enter the intense world of a no strings relationship and experience addiction like you never expected...

The moment I walked in to find Mr. Tall, Dark, Handsome, and Oh So British--my mind-blowing one night stand--as my photographer for the shoot that could change it all, I knew life was throwing me a curveball.
The moment he, Tyler Stone, walked into my best friend’s apartment, I knew that curveball was heading straight for my gut.
The hit comes in the form of a no-strings proposition… One that gives him utter control over my body.
If I surrender, that curveball is steadily en-route for a collision course with my heart.

He’s a sex addict. I’m a love addict.
This is temptation.

My Opinion:

I have to say, I was really excited for this book, because I loved “The Call” series about Dayton and Aaron and now it was her best friend Liv’s turn with Aaron’s cousin Tyler.
There is a little prequel called Wild Attraction, I really loved this one and thought that it was a great opening to this story.

However, it took me a while to warm up to Liv, I somehow couldn’t really relate to her. They way their relationship developed though was great, I just found my self questioning the authenticity of it all, which made it a bit difficult for me to properly dive into the story.

Well, one thing is clear, Emma still is my queen of romance, passionate and erotic scenes. Well done lady, they were so varied, never boring and always full of sexy, but also romantic moments.

They way Liv realised more and more what was happening between them, was beautifully described and that also got me warmed up to her, finally being honest about her feelings and emotions.
I liked Tyler very much ;) But Aaron is still my favourite. And I also have to add the best thing about this book for me: Reading about Aaron and Dayton again, I loved them together and it was just awesome to her about their future together. Sorry Liv and Tyler, I like you as a couple, but they will stay my faves…

Oh, I really enjoyed the ending, it brought some really drama into this whole adventure… Seriously Emma, how can you leave us hanging here?!

Some great, bubbly, sexy and passionate scenes with a nice spark, but not as good as “The Call” series in my eyes, so I can only give 4 sea shells, which is still really good.

Rating:

My possible cast:

Liv: Rosie Huntongton Whitely

Tyler: Bernardo Velasco

Books You Would Like To Live In

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This is the first post of a series of guest posts. Let me explain it to you. I asked a few of my book blogger friend to be part of a series called „Books you’d like to live in“. They all wrote a post about this and we will now start sharing this with you, today it’s my turn.

Have you ever dreamed of living in a book and being part of a story? Well, I have ;) Authors create magical and wonderful worlds in their stories and in some of them you’d just like to stay and never leave. I will tell you about my favourites now.

Firstly, and probably the most important one: Harry Potter. The magical world of fantasy full of great character, creatures and friendship is so wonderful. I always wanted to be part of it and meet Harry, Hermione and Ron to go on an adventure with them. Playing quidditch, relaxing at the lake, having a talk with Hagrid… I could go on and on here <3

Now, let’s talk about Aven Ellis. She’s a brilliant author and has become a wonderful friend to me. I’m in love with her stories, so I’d really like to live in them. Her debut novel is called Connectivity and I’m just in love with William Cumberland, he’s the male lead in the book. Just to meet him and being in Chicago and London, that would be awesome!!!
Then there is Waiting For Prince Harry. This book is set in Dallas and it’s all about hockey and one hell of a sexy hockey player. I’ve always been fascinated be this sport, so being a part of this book would just be amazing <3.

Definitely, one of the Paige Toon books, actually all of them, because they are all set in some great places: Sydney and other parts of Australia (Lucy in the Sky, Pictures of Lily), LA (Johnny Jefferson series), Key West (the Longest Holiday), some beautiful places in the UK (One Perfect Summer, Thirteen Weddings). Chasing Daisy follows all different Formula 1 racing spots, so that would be awesome, just to be able to visit all these amazing places.

Then I’d definitely would like to be part of Holly Martin’s One Hundred Proposals, just because the story is so beautiful. And there are some great places to see as well ;).

The Lindsey Kelk books would be so much fun. Amazing and bubbly characters and also some wonderful places to see. I’m dreaming of going to New York…

A must is also Rebecca Raisin’s Gingerbread Café series. It’s set in such a cute little town called Ashford and all the people and characters there are so sweet and caring. I’d go to this café everyday and hang out with Sarah at her bookshop ;).

Last but not least, there is the Heart of Montana series by Katy Regnery. She’s my queen of Romance and these books are just fabulous. There is so much heart in the stories, the characters are wonderful and the landscape sounds amazing.

I think I could go on and on here, but these are my favourites.
