'Nicola May is a
talent to watch' Milly Johnson
Dull security or
risky freedom - which would you choose?
With her
marriage in pieces, shy Cali Summers is faced with this decision and hits the
world of fast love on an internet dating app.
Using room 102
in the hotel where she works as her dating 'lair', she opens herself up to a
world of sex, lies, deception, as well as personal discovery and passionate
love.
With a charming
F1 engineer, a handsome army officer and her adulterous ex all on the scene, a
predictable love match is far from on the cards.
My Opinion:
*Book provided by the author in exchange
for an honest review*
I’d like to start with the
title of this book: It fits perfectly, it’s clever and it’s catchy! It didn’t
live up to me expectations though, but it’s still a great read.
The story follows Cali
Summers, who sees her marriages in pieces and gets into the world of online
dating. Well, what better app to use than Tinder?! She gets to know a lot of
different men, different types of men and is not afraid to take the next step.
In the book we also get to
know some of her friends, which was really refreshing, because they got their
story shared as well.
I had difficulties warming
up to Cali and that didn’t change throughout the book. I didn’t like the way
she acted and behaved and some of her decisions I just couldn’t understand. I
liked the secondary characters much more, like Annie, her best friend or Lou.
They will make you laugh.
The story has a fantastic
flow. It’s young, fresh, modern and trendy! Nicola May captured the setting vividly
and created a funny and romantic story!
