Hopelessly Devoted to Holden Finn - by Tilly Tennant

Original Cover
My own copy

The blurb:

There’s only one man for Bonnie, and that’s Holden Finn.

The problem is that Holden Finn is a twenty-three-year-old pop megastar with his boy band, Every Which Way, and has no idea she exists. Not only that, but half the women in the world want to be Mrs Finn, including Bonnie’s teenage daughter, Paige. The real men in Bonnie’s life do nothing but let her down, but a man you can’t possibly have can never do that… right? She’s safe inside her fantasy bubble.

Then Paige wins a radio competition to meet Holden and the band, and Bonnie’s carefully-constructed world starts to unravel. She is about to find out that you should be very, very careful what you wish for …

My Opinion:

*Book provided by author in exchange for an honest review*

Such a quick and enjoyable read, I absolutely adored it!!! When I read it I didn't know yet, how the cover would look like and when I saw it I fell in love with it. So beautiful.

The storyline for once is totally different from the ones I’m used from the chick-lit books.
The fact that 35 year old Bonnie is a huge fan Holden Finn (23 years old, musician) and really fancies him, took me into the story completely.

Bonnie has a 15 year old daughter, her name is Paige and she can be difficult sometimes, but I loved the relationship mother and daughter had in this book.

Paige and her friend Annabell are huge fans of Holden’s band and when they win a competition to meet them, Bonnie can’t believe her luck. She gets to meet Holden Finn!!!

The whole meeting and what follows doesn’t turn out as expected and Bonnie has a total different opinion of Holden now.
Then there is Max, the gorgeous deliveryman who seems to be into her. And what about Paige’s dad? When Henri returns the real drama begins, what lots of ups and downs you can enjoy. There was never a dull moment in this book and some great surprises as well.

I got a bit angry with Bonnie’s behaviour towards the end, with the decisions she was making, so that’s why I can only give 4 cups of coffee.

All in all, the story was vivid and fascinating. It did seem a bit too unreal from time to time. Nevertheless, it’s a must read and I’m so glad a got the opportunity to read it.
A funny, gripping and exciting novel.
