I found
this tag on lovely Fabulous Book Fiend’s book channel and was all for it. She
is one of my fave book bloggers and always has great content: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=He0PmIz833E
1. You have
20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?
I usually have a look if I
have some ARCs from publishers either as an ebook or paperback, then there is
always NetGalley and I also have lots of books I bought. I then look at
publication dates and try to review a book close to pub date. It’s important to me though to read a book I bought in between as well.
2. You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not
loving it. Do you quit or are you committed?
Most of the time
I finish the book, even though I don’t like it.
3. The end of the year is coming and you’re so
close, but so far away on your Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try to catch up and how?
Last year I was way behind for
several reasons. Obviously I wasn’t happy about it, but I didn’t try to catch up, because I didn’t have the time and it’s fine not to reach that goal, there are other and more important things out there.
4. The covers of a series you love do. not. match. How do you cope?
I’m not happy
about it and I wouldn’t put them next to each other
in the bookshelf, but in the end it’s still the same story.
5. Everyone and their mother loves a
book you really don’t like. Who do you bond with
over shared feelings?
Usually it’s
one of my book blogging or author friend, because I know they will understand.
They have all been in this position before and we can’t all like the same
things, right?!
6. You’re
reading a book and you are about to start crying in public. How do you
deal?
I just cry. That happened to
me before. Sure, it was awkward, but I just took out a tissue and tried to dry
my tears.
7. A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book? Skip
the sequel? Try to find a synopsis on Goodreads? Cry in frustration?!?!?!?
I would
probably read my review again and the blurb on goodreads.
8. You do not want anyone. ANYONE. borrowing
your books. How do you politely tell people nope when they ask?
I’d probably say
that someone else has it at the moment ;). Or with some people I’m really honest. They know my love of books and they understand.
9. Reading ADD. You’ve picked up and put down 5
books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?
I either read
a book I loved again or change the genre, that usually helps.
10. There are so many new books coming out that
you’re dying to read! How many do you actually buy?
All of them!
11. After you’ve bought the new books you
can’t wait to get to, how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them?
Not long!
What would your answers be?!
