The blurb:
Sun, spaghetti and sparkling prosecco. When it comes to looking
for love, there’s no place like Rome – but once Kate’s found her man, can she
keep him?
Kate is living the dream with her
gorgeous boyfriend Alessandroin
his native city, but the reality is sometimes a little less romantic than she’d
hoped. Every day in her new home is a fight against leaking pipes, her
cantankerous landlord and her less-than-perfect grasp of the Italian lingo.
All around her there is talk of weddings, but
when a secret from her past is thrust out into the open, Kate must fight to
prove to Alessandro’s Mamma – and the rest of his formidable family – that she
truly is Italian marriage material.
With the women in Alessandro’s life on a mission
to break them apart, the cracks begin to show and Kate starts to question if
Alessandro really is the man of her dreams. Can love and the city of romance
conquer all, or is that just a fairy-tale?
Let Rome steal your heart this summer in this gorgeously romantic escapist
read. Perfect for fans of Jo Thomas and Abby Clements.

I was very excited to go back to Italy and enjoy Kate's and Alessandro's story. I love their first story when they got to know each other and I really wanted to know hiw their lives are now.
Kate lives in Rome now, she gave up everything at home and is renting a little appartment. She is nit yet living with Alessandro, but they still spend a lot of time together. I enjoyed the scenes, where it was just the two of them the most, I think they are such a cute couple. Kate tries to improve her Italian, which is not always easy, especially with a landlord who pretends he doesn't hnderstand her English.mshe also has to find a job and there is Alessandro's family. She has won ove some of them, but Alessandro's mum and his sister Maria prove to be the hardest ones. They don't think she is here to stay and what about marriage?!
Alessandro's family is huge, which was fab to read about. I have Italian relatives too and visiting them is always gery interesting. There is also Alessandro's ex, who wants to break them apart.
An Italian wedding is also part of the story, which was a pleasure to read about. The writing really capturd the ambiance and the people around it.
This book has a lot of drama for sure, but it's all inclueded beautifully in the storyline, added with a lot of humour, passion and romance.
I really liked following Kate's journey in this book, she grew stronger and finally found her place in Italy.
Tilly Tennant's writing is heart warming, sweet, passionate, gentle and just amazing. I saw myslef there with the characters, she described the setting wonderfully and created this stunning Italian atmosphere full of love.
