The blurb:

A heartwarming and heartbreaking story about love and life in one of Europe's most romantic cities, Prague.

Welcome to a city where wishes are everywhere

For Megan, a winter escape to Prague with her friend Ollie is a chance to find some inspiration for her upcoming photography exhibition. But she's determined to keep their friendship from becoming anything more. Because if Megan lets Ollie find out about her past, she risks losing everything - and she won't let that happen again . . .

For Hope, the trip is a surprise treat from Charlie, her new partner. But she's struggling to enjoy the beauty of the city when she knows how angry her daughter is back home. And that it's all her fault . . .

For Sophie, the city has always been a magical place. This time she can't stop counting down the moments until her boyfriend Robin joins her. But in historic Prague you can never escape the past . . .

Three different women.

Three intertwining love stories.

One unforgettable, timeless city.

My Opinion:

*Book provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review*

Isabelle Broom has blown me away with her debut novel My Map of You and guess what, she did it again!!! This story is absolutely incredible for several reasons.

Three different women, three different stories and one city. We meet Megan, who is a photographer and has travelled to Prague with her friend Ollie. They are not a couple and it should stay that way according to her.
Hope is in Prague with her new partner Charlie. She is trying to enjoy the city, but she can’t. Her daughter Annabell is angry with her.
Sophie is waiting for her fiancée Robin in prague, that’s where they met, he should arrive every moment…

Well, the three women meet and get to know each other. The chapters change perspectives between the three women and in every chapter we read about their past, as well as their time in Prague.

Isabelle has created a wonderful and Christmassy atmosphere and the vivid and detailed descriptions of Prague make me want to go there immediately.

All three women go through something very emotional, they deal with it alone, but then also have each other after a while, which was wonderful.

This book is full of love, romance, warmth, comfort, but also touching and moving moments. I was able to dive into this story immediately and Isabelle’s gripping writing made it hard to leave the characters again. This book is not just about there women meeting each other, it also covers heartache and goes really deep. And then there is Ollie, you will fall in love with him.

A captivating and incredible story written with so much passion, warmth and love. I loved every second of this book. BRILLIANT!!!

  1. Great review, thank you. Prague is such an evocative backdrop, so wintery, for an, at times, challenging story-line.
