But two years ago that changed in one unthinkable moment. Now, Rose is known for being the young woman who became a widow aged just twenty-four.

My Opinion:

*Book provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review*

I don’t even know where to start this review!!! This book is just amazing, very inspiring, emotional and beautifully written.

The story follows Rose Walker, a very talented artist. Rose is in a sad stage of her life, she is still trying to move on from her husband’s Lucas’ death. They were childhood sweethearts, married really early and were really really happy. Lucas died two years ago and Rose struggles. She thinks back on her life with Lucas, which is great for us, because we learn more about them. After a while we also learn what actually happened to him.

Throughout all this I was so glad she had Emma, her best friend, and also Emma’s husband John. They are wonderful and the best friend a girl could wish for.

When a stranger arrives and wants to buy some of her paintings, she starts to see things differently. Robert and her spend a lot of time together and she sees herself falling for him. She opens up more, goes out of the house more and even starts painting. All thanks to Robert. Robert is not telling the whole truth though and the secret he has is a bit shocking. It definitely made the book more exciting and I just couldn’t stop reading.

Does Rose still have a chance on second love?! I have to be honest, I was routing for them from the start, because I just adored them together and I also felt that they could get over that situation. You have to read it yourselves to find out though…

This book is great on so many levels. First of all some awesome many characters and other people surrounding them, the setting in this cute Cornish village, the gripping storyline and so much more. I instantly fell in love with Victoria’s writing. She has a very unique voice and knows how to create an uplifting, inspiring and magnificent story. I’m definitely looking forward to reading more by this fab author.
