life — about love!

My Opinion:

Anthea Syrokou takes you immediately into the heart of
the story with her writing. It’s engaging and relatable.
We follow 27 year-old Julie, who doesn’t like her job,
has a difficult past, when it comes to relationships and many other things.
She decides to take action and travel to Europe, to
see London and Paris. It makes her see clearly again and she can think about
her life. I loved, how Anthea Syrokou included Paris and London in her writing.
I felt like being there with Julie.
There is also the fact that runs into her ex Scott
again, the one who broke her heart. The are a lot of unresolved issues there,
so it’s actually a good thing.
When Julie is back home in Sydney, she needs to make
some important decisions. There is Scott, or will the lovely George win her
heart?! Her best friends Maria and Cassandra and also her sister are by her
side, helping and doing their magic. They are such a great bunch of characters,
lovely to follow around.
The writing is very compelling and gripping. However,
the storyline was a bit predictable for me and I some of Julie’s decisions, I
didn’t like.
All in all, it’s a great book, full of wonderful
characters, a lovely ending and fascinating style of writing!
