The blurb:

***7 YEARS BAD SEX ~ A ROMANTIC COMEDY***

One wedding. One curse? Disaster ever after…

A seven-years-bad-sex curse? Surely not! Yet something went wrong when rock singer Casey and drummer Alex got married on that beautiful yacht anchored off St Tropez in the south of France. Something went badly wrong. For even on their wedding night, the young couple discovers a complete and somewhat surprising inability to make love. Muddling through their honeymoon with a string of thin excuses for their predicament, the lovers defer finding a solution (and panicking) until the return to their home in London. After all, they married for life and to make rock music, not for the love of sex. Right?

But when they resume life as normal in London, all hell breaks loose. Increasingly frantic in their quest for release, the unhappy newlyweds embark on a string of hilarious and occasionally harmful antics that drives them, their band, and an assortment of random strangers to the brink of despair. But it ain’t over ‘til it’s over or, in this case… it ain’t over ‘til the newlyweds sing.

My Opinion:

*Book provided by the author in exchange for an honest review*

First of all, I’d like to thank Nicky for sending me a copy of the book. I got to know her writing last year and fell in love with her style, so I was really excited for this one. The blurb sounds great and Nicky is always up for a little surprise.

The book starts at Casey’s and Alex’s beautiful wedding in France. They seem like such a great fit and they had a lot of chemistry from the start. During the wedding something weird happens, something only Casey and Alex notice, they are confused, but they forget about it again.

Suddenly, from one day to the other they are not able to make love anymore though. It starts after their wedding, continues over the honeymoon and also normal life in London doesn’t seem to change the situation.

Their fiends think it could be some kind of curse. The frustration gets bigger and bigger and they don’t know what to do about it. Trying different things they meet new people and they are all trying to help them. It’s actually quite funny with they all come up with and it always seems to work, until something happens and stops them. I felt really bad for them, wanted to help them as well.
The frustration gets bigger and then Alex makes a decision…

The drama and the heartbreak are big, will the be able to figure it out?! Let me just tell you that I absolutely loved the last few pages!!!

Nicky has done a great job again, creating a funny, romantic, lively and bubbly story with great characters and high entertainment. There is a fascinating concept behind this story and as a reader you a gripped until the last part, to find out how it’s really going to turn out.

Rating:
