The blurb:
Join Billy and Sophie for the next
chapter of their story by bestselling author Giovanna Fletcher.
Christmas has come to Rosefont Hill
and it's destined to be a particularly special festive season for Sophie May.
When a smitten stranger emails
Sophie to ask her if he can propose to the woman he loves in her little
teashop, the romantic in her finds it impossible to refuse. Even though
Christmas is her busiest time of year she has her own sweetheart, Hollywood
actor Billy Buskin, to lend a helping hand. How could she say no to making
someone's dream come true?
As Sophie and Billy work together
to plan the perfect fairytale proposal for this couple, excitement in Rosefont
Hill is mounting. Who is this mysterious man? And who is the lucky lady he's
about to get down on one knee for?
Giovanna Fletcher's special
Christmas novella is perfect for anyone looking for some seasonal magic.
My Opinion:
I loved Giovanna’s debut novel Billy and Me and I couldn’t wait for this short story to come out.
It was great being back in Sophie’s and Billy’s word, to see how they moved on
and how their relationship developed.
The small little village of Rosefont Hill is beautiful
around Christmas and Sophie did everything possible to make her teashop the
perfect festive place, with Billy’s help of course.
I really enjoyed their little romantic and sweet
scenes in between; I wish there could have been more of those, because I adore
them as a couple.
When a stranger emails Sophie about proposing to his
girlfriend in her shop, Sophie is surprised. Who is this secret man? And who
will be they lucky woman?! I have to admit I was hoping it was Billy ;)
Well, Billy and Sophie prepare everything for the
night and the surprise is great in the end, I didn’t think of that couple, such
a sweet proposal.
This short story is all about love and family and how
Sophie is happy in her “patchwork” family, having her mum’s partner Colin and
his kids around. I loved how they all interacted with each other.
Sophie’s Christmas present for Billy is very
thoughtful and oh so cute… This couple just has so much chemistry.
This is a sweet and festive little read, a little too
short for my liking though. I couldn’t really dive into the story, because it
was over to fast…
