Firstly I’d like to thank the
GoslingGirls make me part of this tour :)
The title of this book is sexy,
special and totally describes the whole story. I got hooked from the
beginning!!!
Charley is in a really bad
place, no money and no perspective of a new job, because of what happened at
her old job. She gets a weekend assignment to be a PA for the CEO of Demetrio
International. They fly off the Barcelona for some business. The moment she
steps in the car and meets him – wow! He’s sexy as hell and very successful,
but she knows nothing can happen.
We learn more about her
background and what happened at her old job and this makes her actions more
clear and understandable. She went through a lot and it was hard for her, so I
get why she acts the way she acts. I took her quite a while to tell Alex the truth and that made me a bit mad,
especially because she postponed and postponed it.
Now, let’s talk about Alex. He
comes across as this arrogant and superior boss, but deep down I felt he was
different, he just needed the right woman at his side. And there she was with
Charley. Their chemistry was undeniable from the start and it built more and
more after every page. They were both fighting against their feelings and
always stopping each other. A lot of misunderstandings along the way made this
story even more entertaining and vivid.
When they talked about things,
they were both really stubborn and I was angry with both of them at the time!!!
When somebody shows up,
everything floods back to Charley, but she doesn’t tell Alex and then
everything is revealed in the worst possible way, with Alex not believing her
and wanting her to leave.
I just wanted this whole
problem to be solved and the two of them finally admitting their feelings,
because it was obvious to us readers. It turns out the Alex is not so innocent
as well and has hidden some things, so it goes on and on…
I loved the way he always tried
to find her
Oh and he was only being
himself when she was around, which I think is really adorable.
An awesome story, with the
right amount of drama, but still a lot of passion and flirtyness. Nikki totally
understood how to engage the reader into the story and make it catchy, real and
fresh. The romantic scenes were great and I just loved Charley and Alex
together. I need more!!!! Brilliant job Nikki :)
