So, there are five 5* books this month and they were all brilliant, I
decided for three of them to become my books of the month May:
Thirteen
Weddings – Paige Toon
The bit on the back:
Another scintillating tale from the
bestselling author of The Longest Holiday and Lucy in the Sky.
Last year, Bronte left Sydney for a
wedding in England, where she met newly single Alex. After a night of passion
they parted ways, and Bronte returned to Australia.
Now working on a picture desk for a
magazine in London, Bronte is about to meet her new colleague, who turns out to
be all too familiar. Although awkward at first, as Alex is now engaged to the
girl he was on a break from when they met, they soon become friends.
But as the two get closer, and the
wedding day looms, it is clear that Alex and Bronte have unfinished business.
My opinion:
This
book is amazing!!! Paige’s writing is
full of drama, sweet moments and more. She managed to write another brilliant,
gripping and compelling story. Bronte’s story took my into this world and I
enjoyed every single second of this book. We also get to read about older
characters and theat was awesome, I loved the news. A MUST READ!!!
Me
Without You – Kelly Rimmer
The bit on the back:
If you enjoyed Me Before You
by JoJo Moyes, One Day by David Nicholls, or The
Notebook by Nicholas Sparks – then make time for Kelly Rimmer’s
stunning, heartbreaking new novel Me Without You.
A story of how love can break our
hearts – and heal them.
A year ago I met the love of my
life. For two people who didn’t believe in love at first sight, we came pretty
close.
Lilah MacDonald – beautiful,
opinionated, stubborn and all kinds of wonderful in ways that words could never
quite capture. The woman who taught me to live again.
My Lilah, who gave me so much, and
yet kept from me a secret that she knew would break my heart.
My name is Callum Roberts, and this
is our story.
My opinion:
This book is absolutely amazing
and very emotional!!! I fell in love with this amazing book after the first sentence and would
read it all over again. A wonderful mixture of emotions, real love, secrets,
laughter and sadness. If you want a gripping and touching story, here it is,
read it now!!! Kelly’s writing took me into the story and it it’s such a strong
lovestory with lots of touching and moving scenes.

You're The One That I Want – Giovanna Fletcher
The bit on the back:
Maddy, dressed in white, stands at the back of the church. At the end of the aisle is Rob - the man she's about to marry. Next to Rob is Ben - best man and the best friend any two people ever had.
And that's the problem.
Because if it wasn't Rob waiting for her at the altar, there's a strong chance it would be Ben. Loyal and sensitive Ben has always kept his feelings to himself, but if he turned round and told Maddy she was making a mistake, would she listen? And would he be right?
Best friends since childhood, Maddy, Ben and Rob thought their bond was unbreakable. But love changes everything. Maddy has a choice to make but will she choose wisely? Her heart, and the hearts of the two best men she knows, depend on it...
My opinion:
I absolutely love this beautiful story about love and friendship. Giovanna found a great way to share Maddy's, ben's and Robert's story with us, I couldn't put the book down and the emotions came through all the way.
