Opinion:

How
to Get Hitched in Ten Days is a funny, well written, quick paced
and light hearted read. It follows best friends Mikey and Jazz. They live
together and I really admired their friendship. They were always there for each
other and also had a lot of fun together. The story is told from both their
perspectives, alternating the chapters.
Jasmine has a lot
going on in her life and when boyfriend Dave suddenly proposes she is stunned
and shocked. She is just not ready... Mikey is there to save “her“ heart. He
does everything he can to help Dave plan another proposal. That seems weird,
because the two of them don’t really seem to get along. After a while it dawned
on me... Mikey has a secret and that one doesn’t make the situation easier.
This book is a bit
different from Samantha’s other stories, but still very entertaining.
Unfortunately, it took me a while to get into it and sometimes the storyline
and the scenes were a bit confusing for me. It’s hard to explain, but in the
end the spark was just missing for me.
What I liked best
about this book is the friendship between Mikey and Jasmine. Samantha portrayed
it beautifully.
