Can I just say how proud I am of Lynsey for
getting the publishing deal with Carina. This debut novel is wonderful and I am
sure it will be a great success. Well done, gorgeous lady, so well deserved!!!
As you can tell I was pretty excited about
this book, for several reasons. Lynsey has become a lively friend and I lived
following her journey on Twitter, the blurb of this story just sounds fab and
the cover is amazing 💖💖💖
The story follows Ava Clements, a 26 years
old journalist from Manchester. We meet her at her mother's seventh wedding, so
it's pretty obvious what she thinks about weddings. She works for Sleek
magazine and is getting ready tor write something for Valentine's Day, she has
two stories in mind. Ivy St Claire, a new friend, and her story of her lost
love or her own story about Mr Writer. On top of that she gets to cover
weddings for the magazine as well, yay ;)
Well, let me tell you more about Mr Writer.
Back at uni Ava received wonderful love letters of a guy. It was pretty obvious
from these letters that he adored and loved her, but when it came to meeting
her he backed out.
Now, 6 years later, the letters start again.
He is sorry, he's still in love with her and is determined to show it to her
this time. Encouraged by her best friends Max and Gwen she starts looking for
him herself and she also starts looking for Leo Browning, Ivy's list love. As
you can guess, the adventure and the drama start there...
I have to say I had my suspicions from the
start and I really wanted ut to be true, because I just adored these two
together.
I was very happy Ava had her friends
throughout this story, especially Max. They really gad something special and
lets just say things got really intense and complicated by one point. Things
didn't get better when Gwen showed interest in Max and there was still his ex
Amira as well. Who suddenly wanted him back.
Ava goes through a range if emotions in this
book and I loved how Lynsey included her feelings. I felt so close to Ava and I
just wanted to be there for her.
There were so e really passionate and intense
moments and the wee written in a vivid, real and authentic way, I was really
able to dive into this story and I didn't want to leave it again.
Everything seemed to go in the right
direction, until Ava found out the truth about Mr Writer. The drama and the
misunderstandings made everything much mire complicated, which made the story
even mire exciting. I couldn't put the book down at that point, because I just wanted
to find out what was going to happen. I have to say I questioned both Ava's and
Max's decisions sometimes, because their reactions just didn't make sense to
me, but it all fit with the story perfectly.
This boom git me gripped until the very end
and I didn't want it to stop!!! I need more Ava and her future!!!!
Congratulations Lynsey, you wrote an amazing
book, full of heart, passion, friendship, memorable moments, spark, love and so
much more! A must read on so many levels!!!! I can't wait to read more of you
stories lovely lady, well done 💖💖💖

About the author:
I was born in Fife in 1991 and have been telling
people how to spell my name ever since.
A careers adviser at school once told me writing
wasn’t a “good option” and for a few years, I believed her. I tried a little
bit of everything, including make-up artistry, teaching and doing admin for a
chocolate fountain company. The free chocolate was brilliant. When I left my
job a couple of years ago, I started writing full-time while I looked for
another one. As soon as I started working on my story, I fell in love and
decided to finally pursue my dream. I haven’t looked back since.
When I’m not writing, eating cake or drinking tea, I’m
daydreaming about the day Dylan O’Brien FINALLY realises we’re meant to be
together. It’ll happen one day…
