The Park Bench Test - by Sarah Lefebve

Original Cover
My own copy

The blurb:

How do you know when you’ve found Mr Right?

Aspiring journalist Becky Harper loves her boyfriend Alex, but she doesn’t think he’s Mr Right.

Her best friend Emma doesn’t believe in Mr Right – she’s just looking for a man who will stick around longer than her dad did.

Katie has found her Mr Right and is planning her September wedding with her two best friends.

Debut author Sarah Lefebve asked her own friends and family how they knew they had found the elusive Mr Right and then turned their honest – and often surprising – answers into this charming, emotional and downright funny romance about three friends and their search for Mr Right – if he even exists that is…

My Opinion:

*Book provided by publisher in exchange for an honest review*

The idea of this book is so lovely and I love the title and after having read the whole novel, I have to say it fits perfectly.
And the cover is really gorgeous.

Becky is a character I instantly related to, she’s so charismatic and knows what she wants. I’m glad when she finally goes for it.
I felt a little bad for Alex when she broke up with him, but I realised she did the right thing for herself.

Her friends Katie and Matt are getting married and I really liked both of them with their energy and how much they cared about Becky. Emma on the other hand is always depressed about guys and seems to be obsessed about having a boyfriend.

It took me a while to get into the story. It only happened when James came along. I loved him immediately, he’s so adorable and the way Becky and James meet is so funny. Their connection was undeniable and it’s so sweet how their relationship developed. I sensed that something had to come up and I somehow also knew it had something to do with Emma.
It came to a big showdown, with lots of drama. I didn’t really like the way things happened after that, but I understood it and it got me hooked to the story.

The ending is adorable and cute, with lots of love and emotions.

At the start of every chapter there was a love quote, which was really great and fitted perfectly.

A beautifully written story about love and the way of finding true love.
