Reader Problem’s Tag

I found the Reader Problem’s Tag on Katie’s blog and immediately wanted to do it. You can find her post here:

You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?

I always keep a list of books and their pub dates, so that’s my ARC/to-be-published list and then I also have a list of books I bought and really want to read. Most oft he time I take turns, read an ARC and then one that was in my TBR for a while. I try to review books close tot he pub date, so that definitely has an influence.

You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you quit or are
you committed?

I have never quit before, I always readthe whole book, even though I didn’t like the story. Sometimes it was worth it, sometimes it wasn’t. Especially when I read the book for a blog tour, I really try to finish it. I think I will always finish a book.

The end of the year is coming and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try to catch up and how?

That has never happend to me tob e honest. Most of the time, I’m ahead. I fit would happen, I wouldn’t put pressure on myself. I read for myself and not to reach a challenge. There are times, where you are in a reading slump or don’t have time to read as much. That’s normal. I would probably try to catch up, but definitely not force it.

The covers of a series you love do. not. match. How do you cope?

I like looking at covers and admiring them, so I would definietly not like i tat first. It wouldn’t look as pretty in the shelf, but in the end it’s the story that counts!

Every one and their mother loves a book you really don’t like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings?

That happened to me several times now. The advantage of being part of a big book blogging community ist he exchange between us. I always feel I can talkt o my book blogging friends and they understand. Through reading their reviews it’s also possible to find someone who felt the same and that’s great!

You’re reading a book and you are about to start crying in public. How do you deal?

I’d just cry and let it out. It can happen anywhere at anytime, that I feel emotional because of a book. I’m a very emotional person and well, it just happens. I don’t care what other people think.

A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book?

If I have time yes! But let’s be honest, if I really really loved a book, then I would still remember the most important things.

You do not want anyone. ANYONE. borrowing your books. How do you politely tell people nope when they ask?

I only give my books to me mum! Luckily I don’t have many people around me that want to borrow my books. If someone wants to, I tell them that I only have it on my kinlde ;) Which most oft he time is also true. If I have two copies of a book, it’s easier, then I have a pretty version and one to give out.

Reading ADD. You’ve picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?

I had a huge reading slump in September and it took me a while to get out of it. One oft he reasons for it was definitely life getting in the way. I had some busy weeks and weekends. I just tried to still read and pick up stories from authors I already knew and liked the style.

There are so many new books coming out that you’re dying to read! How many do you actually buy?

I pre-order the ones I really want. WIth the others I wait for a while and might ordert hem later.

If you liked this tag and are up for it, just do it and let me know!!!
